Vintage photographs, papers and cloth are omnipresent in my work. I love the nostalgic energy they spread and it fills me with a feeling of gratitude towards the small things, the every day stuff.
Caring and honoring what has been. Repairing, reusin, repurposing are all a part of happiness to me. Slowing down and watching details, like the mending of my grandmother on a kitchen towel. Honoring the small things in life.
Collage art is a dialogue between different objects put together on the same page. It is giving a second life, constructing a new story, creating interaction between elements that would have never found each other otherwise.
