Pleased to meet you
I’m a fiber artist, based and born in Lier. I work with natural and/or recycled material: wool, cotton, paper, drift wood, rusted iron, plants, old pictures.
I like mixing techniques: embroidery, spinning, weaving, natural dying and printing, writing, drawing, painting. I also still practise the first discipline I fell in love with as a kid: photography.
After studying communication at IHECS in Brussels, I went to live abroad (Finland, Naples, Montreal) In Montreal I rented a working space in the Grover Factory. Which made me discover how amazing it is to work next to other artists. When I moved back to Belgium I wanted to find the same kind of anthill. That’s how I ended up living and working a few years in the Ateliers Mommen. Later on, I moved back with my husband and our kid to Lier, my hometown. My atelier is now in the barn at our house. A nice and inspiring piece of quietness close to our family life.
